27th May - 2nd October 2022
Cukrarna Palace, Lubljana, Slovenia
The exhibition Created in Slovenia by Center for Creativity presents a selection of some important projects and works of Slovenian artists and provides an insight into the work and projects of a vibrant and creative community, whose common denominator is the ability to create change in society and think for a different, inclusive and sustainable future.
New Times is the exhibition of new products that have been awarded the “Made in Slovenia” mark of excellence by the Centre for Creativity that operates within the Museum of Architecture and Design in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
The products we are presenting offer a critique of the existing market, and economic and social systems, they break with established, often bad social habits, and bring new uses to the fore. What’s more, they have the potential to become serial products or services that no longer use the established modes of serial production.
After we’ve been separated by the pandemic, discrimination, racism and nationalism, mistrust of state institutions, economic stratification, and climate change, it is design that can bring us back together.
See you in new times!

Clothing has more than just a functional role: the clothes we wear are an expression of our identity. The same applies to our accessories, be it jewelry, a medical assisting device, or a prosthetic limb replacement.
The evolution of digitalisation has opened new doors in the world of fashion and design. The exhibited pieces of Hungarian and international designers aim to demonstrate that the conscious use of innovative technologies holds the promise of a more livable and inclusive future.
The exhibition showcases products by Slovenian designers that are sustainable, innovative, ingenious, clear, functional, socially engaged, and to a large extent also produced in Slovenia.
The selection and the Made In Slovenia mark of excellence aims to create a collection that will be recognized worldwide as an example of good design from Slovenia, promoting the principles of sustainability and contributing to the cooperation between the creative and economic sectors.

Design for a Post-Apocalyptic World
September 5–10, 2021
SUPERDESIGN SHOW 2021
Via Tortona, 27, Superstudio Più, 20144 Milano, Italy
In the scenario, conceived already before the pandemic and presented at this year’s Milano Design Week, all of our natural environments have been destroyed, and we now live in [Tunnel 29]. Taken together, the exhibited projects foresee a post-industrial dystopia where life only persists in a closely controlled artificial environment, filled with DIY furniture from recycled plastics, invasive plant species and salvaged scrap metal, and where survivors grow their own food. How is our effort to confront this reality reflected in the designs made for tomorrow?
The exhibition is organised in cooperation between the
Centre for Creativity/MAO, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Slovenia and the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in Italy.
